This construction set originates from the 2:1 tetrahedron and octahedron pattern that forms an isotropic vector matrix. The "bow tie" shaped piece consists of two edge-to-edge tetrahedrons connecting to an adjacent octahedron. The "(whole)" files are reference only, not intended for printing. Print out two "Tetrahedron Pair" or "Octahedron" files per piece and glue the bases together. Ensure precise alignment of pieces. Print without a brim if possible to minimize extra material interference. As with any construction objects, print at high quality and expect post-print finishing for a perfect fit. The above models were printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.1 mm layer height. Please share construction photos!
