Bow Tie
thingiverse
This is a simple bow tie I created for my high school prom. Initially, I was planning to use a pre-made bow tie from my 3D printer, however, that design turned out to be quite difficult for my printer, as it had a major problem with creating bridges in that design. My new and improved design completely eliminates bridging where possible, but when it does occur, the bridge is designed with plenty of tolerance for mistakes. The final result was well-received and looks great paired with a suit jacket or tuxedo. I intended to make this upgrade months ago but finally found the time. I made an update that accurately follows the scale of my original model. Making this as inexperienced as I was at the time taught me a valuable lesson! Instructions I printed the bow tie using PLA filament with three solid perimeters and 100% solid infill to achieve a strong structure. I used a thin strap taken from a low-cost fake bow tie, which is carefully placed between the tie and its clip during assembly to ensure proper fit.
