Bourtange is a village of 430 residents in the municipality of Vlagtwedde, Netherlands. Located in Westerwolde region, it sits near the Groningen province border with Germany. The fort was built in 1593 during the Dutch Revolt and remained active until 1851. Restored to its original state in 1960, Fort Bourtange now serves as an outdoor museum. Special thanks go out to Mike Gill of Avon Valley Archaeological Society for his qgis2sketchfab conversion that allowed Lidar maps from QGIS/qgis2threejs to be uploaded to Sketchfab. Mark Walters also provided valuable assistance with this project.
