Bouncy Reelsteady mount for Chameleon Ti and Source One
thingiverse
It's a really good but vibration-free mount for Chameleon Ti (or Rooster) and for TBS Source One. I've only used it for the Session but theoretically I think it works for any GoPro. It's far from safe and the camera isn't protected in any way, but I've played around a lot and this gave the best results. What I wanted was to have it be bouncy enough, but also pushed forward so it was clear from the battery and for the props not to be in view etc. The length of the stripes is a bit of trying what works and what you want to do, if you want to do some freestyle they have to be shorter but that might evoke some vibrations and if they're too long it causes some weird bounce back. But the trick is to have the top plate parallel with the bottom (or the ground/gravity or whatever so that the bouncing is up and down without tilting too much. Update, I added a Session top, so it's more protected. Update again, added a backwards mount for Chameleon Ti. The Source One has the same screw pattern as the top. Update, a 30.5 by 30.5mm mount for stuff that are that size. It looks ridiculous if Reelsteady isn't used, but with that it works pretty well: <iframe width="100%" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/H-i4CmlKQiY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> It's my first upload to Thingiverse, so if anything is weird, wrong or not "how it's done" please tell me.
