Bouche carburateur Baron Saito40
thingiverse
I installed a Saito 40 carburetor on my 1914 Baron to be able to "richen" the engine once the hood is in place (as it's impossible to plug the carburetor with your finger when the hood is in position). The piece was printed in PETG, and the inside is made of food-grade silicone. Several attempts were necessary to find the right shape and thickness so that the seal would be correct. The mechanism is activated by a rod (a piano wire type quick link) passing through the engine support from below with a small spring allowing the "carburetor mouth" to remain in the high position naturally (so that air can pass). I included in the STL the small pushbutton at the bottom of the photo which allows activating the mechanism. It is attached to the threaded rod via an insert.
