Just in time for Valentine's day; this revised thumb driven heart gear box eliminates the thumb gear, featuring a directly driven center piece that is turned by twisting the base. Updates: 02/10/2015: A corrected sleeve stl file was uploaded. The updated design is taller to reduce the gap between pieces, thanks to cfeniak for pointing out an error in the original upload. The previous version of the thumb gear box had a short final design, which was quickly fixed by creating this longer sleeve. 02/04/2017: All parts were added to the revised thumb driven heart gear box. Since testing proved that the direct drive worked just fine, the differential crank was removed. To achieve a cleaner look and better differentiate between colors, the lid and base of the heart were split. Followed photos are used for instructions on printing with two different colors. Print stl files 01 through 09 in one color and pin_x_8.stl in your preferred color for the heart. Print stl files 10 and 11 in a second color, using your choice of gearing for these pieces. Place center pin (09.stl) through the hole in heart base.
