thingiverse
This tool is designed to secure a 1/4bsp gauge and pressure coupling to a PET container, utilizing the bottle as a reservoir to dampen vibrations during measurements. The outlet features a convergent nozzle. To initiate operation, enlarge the nozzle until approximately 0.9 bar is achieved within the bottle, resulting in an atmospheric output flow rate equivalent to the speed of sound. By calculating this flow rate and combining it with the area of the enlarged opening, you can accurately determine the compressor's flow through connected hoses at 0.9 bar. Nevertheless, anyone attempting this setup does so at their own risk, as the bottle may be subject to over-pressurization, potentially exceeding its safety limits of around 10 bar. To mitigate this risk, it is recommended to use a small PET container and maintain extremely low pressure levels, ideally with a fizzy drinks bottle. The seal can be secured using epoxy.
