Bottle opener for Trek Madone SLR seat mast cap

Reduce, reuse, recycle. Usually the seat mast for a Trek Madone SLR will be found installed on a Trek Madone SLR, but sometimes for various reasons they can't fulfill that task anymore. Now what are you going to do with it? You've got a pretty cool carbon fiber part worth nearly $300 that you can't use anymore, if only there was something you could do with it.Now there is. Print out this piece and it'll mount to the seat mast in place of the expander bolt and allow you to use your fancy seat mast as a bottle opener. Including the spacer which was part of my design but you may or may not need it. I honestly don't remember. This has been extensively and exhaustively tested by various professionals in the cycling industry and proven effective at quickly and reliably opening bottles.Stole some of the general dimensions from either the super best bottle opener or a remix which I can't find anymore. If you don't have a Madone seat mast on hand, that Super Best bottle opener is legit and worth printing out a bunch.Update 24 Apr 2023: The bottle opener is great but the post looks a little dumb with the remnants of the original seat mount in place, so I created several inserts to replace it and make it look a little nicer. I've got a plain blank one and three with logos - the TREK logo, the Trek “shield” logo, and one that just says “BEER”. Two versions of each are available, the standard version with the logo inset which would work well with a filament swap at the layer changes, and a version with the logo inset very shallow, which works well in Bambu Studio with the paint function to get easy multi-color prints from the X1 Carbon.Print SettingsPrint it laying on its side (the way it's oriented in the STL file) with supports from the print bed. Don't print it flat as that would have layer lines crossing the opener jaw and it'd probably fail quickly.Up the shells to make sure it's strong enough. I use at least 5 shells with a 0.4mm nozzle and then the infill is pretty much irrelevant. Alternately you can use 100% infill but I find sufficient shells results in enough strength. As you can see in the photos, such a coarse 0.3mm layer height doesn't look great, but I have received 0 complaints on how it looks and much positive feedback on how well it works, so keep that in mind. Still if you wanna print it at a much higher resolution so it looks better on your $300 seatpost, go right ahead. At coarser resolutions, you might need to clean the printed threads up before using them, or you can just thread the fasteners in carefully and let them clean the threads themselves. For the inserts, print those however you want.
