The ancient stone cosmetic bottle boasts a stunning white marble inlay, intricately crafted to adorn its surface. Originating from the Near East, this exquisite artifact hailed from Afghanistan, where it was created by an Afghan artist during the Early Bactrian Period. Crafted from black steatite and adorned with delicate white marble details, the vessel stands at 2.75 inches in height, 2 inches in width, and 2 inches in depth, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail of its creator. Using cutting-edge technology, this valuable artifact was meticulously scanned using Artect's Spider process, further refined through Artec Studio Professional and Geomagic Wrap software. As part of the esteemed Cravens Collection, this rare object is now housed at the University at Buffalo Art Galleries. Its digitization was made possible through equipment provided by the University of South Florida, under the direction of Dr. Laura Harrison's visionary leadership in the Cravens Virtual Museum Project.
