This approach is effective at eliminating flies as long as you keep other tempting food scraps and overripe fruit at bay. The challenge was that I wanted to move it out of the way to prevent accidental disposal during cleanups. The solution: mount it on a wall or cupboard. This compact holder or cradle is lightweight, simple, and can be attached almost anywhere with ease. The front remains open for drill or screwdriver access - or at least marking pen use. The bottom won't collect liquid or debris as it's also open at the front. This jar slides in and out effortlessly for cleaning and swapping the vinegar.
