Bottle Fly Trap
thingiverse
Hey guys, that's my printed Flytrap in action! It catches flying animals just like a Conetrap, but without harming them. You can simply release the trapped insects back into the wild or preserve them to feed your pets, such as ants, fish, or other fly-eating animals. This ingenious trap works for all types of flying creatures. Just swap out the bait and use a bottlecap with a small hole, measuring between 2-8mm in diameter, to minimize the entry point. For fruit flies, use a 3mm hole, while houseflies require a 4-5mm opening. Larger fly species like Sarcophaga need an even bigger hole. To protect your bait from unwanted visitors, apply some gaze, just as shown in the pictures. Here's a handy guide: * Use peach and a 3mm hole for fruit flies * Opt for meat or meat-based bait with a 5mm hole for houseflies * For larger fly species like goldflies or grey flesh flies, try using plain meat without a bottlecap
