Bottle cutter - 25mm blade - on metal plate
thingiverse
Inspired by [a video](https://bazar.preciousplastic.com/machines/extruder/extruder-fully-built/petbot/) in which I saw someone turn a band of PET into filament by pulling it through instead of pushing (clever!). I needed to begin by making a bottle cutter... This third revision works really well with some practice ! (clamped down, pulling on the band with one hand while holding the top of the bottle with the other) The parts I had, and used : ## Blade This one use a quite large blade (25mm) that don't fit in the usual cutters (this tool is a way to make something of it) (source file in Sketchup 8, if need to adapt for smaller and more standard blades) ## Metal base The printed parts are mounted on a metal plate (155x40mm) that is found in stores, to assemble pieces of wood typically. It should provide much resistance if hundreds of bottles are cut, and the holes to mount it on something else or to add a guide for the bottle. ## Bolts 3x M5x20 3x M5 Nylock nut
