Bottle Closure

Bottle Closure

grabcad

A model of a bottle closure for glass bottles, such as beer bottles (0.33 and 0.5 liters), commonly used in Germany and potentially worldwide. The original product consists of two plastic parts joined together by a gluing or ultrasonic welding process, a metallic wire bow, a sheet metal part fastened onto the wire bow through bending, and a sealing ring made from soft rubber. The plastic parts could alternatively be made from metal, such as aluminum, and manufactured using machining techniques like CNC. Instead of the described fastening methods for the cap onto the sealing ring carrier, a thread joint is also feasible. This model is available in several data formats: STEP files (.stp) containing the complete assembly, STL files (.stl) of all plastic components, and native files (.prt) and (.asm) within a compressed folder (7z).
