Bottle Caps

Bottle Caps

I Found the original parts recently in my kitchen drawer and I tried to create a redesign as precisely as possible. Two different types of bottle caps for subsequent closure of opened bottles caught my attention. The first part, resembling a crown cork with fastening ring and a ribbon between them, could be made from bendable plastic material like Polypropylene (PP). This type can be used alternatively for crown corks on German Beer Bottles. The second one can be used as a screw cap for bottles with thread 28mm PCO, according to the screen shot in gallery. The plastic material could also be PP. Notes: Ideal representation is used to show bending of ribbons. Inner thread is modeled like metric thread, with flank angle 60 degrees and pitch 3.18 mm. If you want to make 3D prints, it may be necessary to change parameters after testing your prototype on real bottles. Both models are available in STEP-files (.stp) and STL-files (.stl).
