The first cap I printed broke apart. I suspected that canola oil might have reacted with the ABS, making it extremely fragile. But I printed another using the same exact filament, and it has survived for countless uses without any problems. I'm really fond of this gadget... I love waffles, but not so much washing dishes. A small batch of batter requires just one tablespoon of oil. This bottle cap comes with a built-in one-tablespoon (15 ml) measuring cup, eliminating the need to wash a separate measuring spoon. Any excess oil drains back into the bottle. The 48-ounce Canola oil bottle from Walmart's Great Value brand is used for this project. The printed cap lacks a gasket and will leak if the bottle is laid on its side, so be careful not to do that. While most people may need a custom-designed cap for their specific needs, the idea behind it is universal. Printing took 30 minutes using 12 grams of ABS.
