Bottle Cap Ant Trap

Bottle Cap Ant Trap

thingiverse

This ant trap utilizes a bottle cap for effortless cleanup. You can probably rely on just a bottle cap, but this design helps identify your traps and prevents unintended spills. Simply place a bottle cap in the base of the trap and add whichever poison suits your needs. I've employed a sugar and borax (3:1) water mixture with excellent results; you can easily find the recipe online. BE AWARE that using this particular mix is hazardous to humans and pets, so exercise caution when setting up the traps. Initially, you'll notice an increase in ant activity. This is a positive sign – they're bringing the poison back to their nest. After several days, however, you should see fewer ants. Regularly inspect your traps, replenishing the mixture whenever the water evaporates, as ants also appreciate having access to water. When the bottle cap becomes clogged with debris, replace it; hopefully, by that point, you won't have any more ant issues.
