The prototype of our multi-axis robot is showcased at botomaton.com, featuring videos on YouTube's Botomaton Labs channel. A video demonstrates initial motor tuning, and a new assembly video was released on July 29th. Revised .ai files are available for download, replacing the previous BotoP1 version. Additionally, an updated BOM parts list (Parts List-RVSN.pdf) is available. An electrical wiring diagram is forthcoming. The materials needed include 3mm MDF from Lowes and 58mil art-board from Michaels. Files with 'thin' in the name are for cutting on art-board, while files ending in '2x' require double cuts. A Full Spectrum MLE-40 laser cutter was used, with specific settings for different colors. The gripper comes from RobotShop and attaches to the toolmount2.ai assembly. The software, "BotomatonProtoRel.idl", operates the robot, but requires downloading Azido's graphical language from www.Azido.net and the Nexys3 system description (device driver) from the same site for compilation and running.
