Bostitch Pencil Sharpener (MPS1-BLK) 3M Command Strip mount/base
thingiverse
I reside in a rented apartment with rented furnishings, which means screwing into anything is strictly off-limits, making 3M Command Strips my go-to lifesaver. I acquired the Bostitch Pencil Sharpener from Amazon (model: MPS1-BLK) and wanted to mount it using 3M Command Strips. This base works exceptionally well, allowing my children to sharpen their colored pencils independently (the razor blade types are terrible). I utilized eight Command Strips but should have opted for six and probably could have gotten away with four, as the paint in my apartment peels easily, so more is better. Hardware used: M3 nuts (three) M3x6 screws (one) M3x12 screws (two) (it might have been M3x10, I'm not certain and I'm not disassembling it now that it's securely attached to the wall.) If I were to revise this design in the future, I would chamfer or fillet the edges.
