Boss BCB-3 Pedalboard Case Replacement Sliding Latch
thingiverse
The BCB3 and BCB6 pedal boards have sliding latch's, to secure the lid to the base, which over time can deteriorate, break or ping off into the oblivion. Boss updated the design with the BCB-30 and BCB-60 however the replacement latch's will not fit onto the older BCB3's or BCB6's. Sadly it is very hard to come across replacement latch's for the older models and hence the reason for this design. The new latches have been left open ended, to allow for size discrepancies, and have been reinforced to take account of print methods, structural layer fractures and general heavy handed use. Not easy to see in the pictures but there is; 1) Registration rail along the full bottom, inside, edge of the latch which mates up to a corresponding recess on the bottom of the Case. 2) Shorter, 25mm securing rail in the middle'ish of the body of the latch. 3) Securing rail reinforced with three webs from the rail to the top of the edge of the latch. These also provide a backstop when opening and stop the latch from sliding all the way off. 4) Locating blip/blob which locates into a moulded recess on the case to help keep the latch in place when closed. 5) Finally, some raised * * * Asterix's along the top outside edge of the latch to provide extra grip for sweaty hands etc. If you do use the files please let me know how you get on, also post an image as a make. Feel free to modify or add as needed but once again let me know and post some links and pictures. All comments, suggestions, requests and enhancements welcome.
