Bose QC25 Element Cover Replacement
thingiverse
During a repair of the faulty speaker element in a Bose QC25, the protective element cover suffered excessive heat damage and became irreparably deformed. The damaged cover was carefully re-designed and meticulously compared to its original counterpart. Although it's not an exact match, this revised cover works surprisingly well. This custom cover retains the same high-quality cable and filter used in the original part, ensuring seamless functionality with the headphones' port. To achieve a secure fit, we strongly advise applying silicone sealant or liquid gasket to the cable and contact areas between the new cover and the headphones. To guarantee optimal results, support is essential during the printing process, and some minor post-printing cleanup may be necessary. Due to its thin design, caution must be exercised when handling the cover to avoid any damage or defects.
