Bose Companion 20 control puck cover
thingiverse
Got this new speakers for my computer, but I'm not thrilled with the volume control. My old one allowed me to simply place a finger on top and turn it (just like spinning a record). However, the Bose speaker only lets you adjust the volume by moving the outer rubber ring, and if you even slightly touch the top, it turns off. So, I came up with a cover that addresses both issues. Now, I can easily touch the top and nudge the volume up or down without worrying about accidentally turning it off. I did punch a hole in the middle so you can still turn it off deliberately - and it's relatively easy to do - but it's virtually impossible to do it by accident. The top of the cover is only 0.75mm thick, making it an easy print. If you use white or translucent material, you'll be able to see the LED as long as there isn't too much bright light (I keep mine on all day, every day, so this wasn't a concern for me). It's a simple print that requires no special settings.
