Bosch Powertube 500 Wh Secret secured box

## Description 2 small boxes I designed to fit the top of the 500 Wh bosch powertube battery. Very small but secured with battery key. Description The Bosch powertube 500Wh on my Moustache Bike has the same length as the 650Wh powertube, but on the 500Wh, we have a handle and some empty spaces… some empty spaces and a 3D printer you said ? I initially wanted a place to keep attached the Airtag with the bike, but a thief can quickly figure out the trap and destroy it. With this empty spaces on each side of the battery handle the airtag is always with the bike (until the battery is removed). So this boxes are a cleaner way to acheive this function. It is not a huge improvement but it was fun to design. Test it and tell me what you put in it ;) ## Exemples of use I currently have in this small boxes: - An Airtag in two sealed plastic bags (cheaper and best way to make a thing waterproof). The airtag tolerances with the box are very tight, It fits diagonally, be aware of that. - Small allen keys - A key for a small bike lock (hiplock) I always have on the bike, so I “can” forgot the bigger U-lock. - A second key of my house. Tip : use some cotton balls in the boxes to avoid noise on the road. ## Design: The design is very tight fit, but it is intentional to avoid shaking noises. You can of course reduce the size by 1 or 2% in regard of you printer tolerances. The lid is not an obligation ! The boxes does not move even without the lid; and nothing can be lost thanks to the battery design. You need to add a string to remove the boxes, but you can remove the box with two finger (or a plier) if the string break. If you have an idear to design a better “handle” to optimise inside space, tell me and I will update the model. Printing instruction: - Print the box with the opening up and the lid with the exterior face on the bed - You should not need support but you can add tree supports for the string hole structure - 0.2mm layer height or above are fine - 0.4 mm line width works great - PETG is recommanded for maximum durability in regard of humidity but anything should work. ## Revision history: Date // Version // Description 15/08/2022 // V1.0 // First release ## More infos: More pictures on the original post: [printable.com](https://www.printables.com/fr/model/259605-bosch-powertube-500-wh-secret-secured-box).
