Bosch PKS 55A dust collector
thingiverse
The original dust collector on my Bosch PKS 55A got stuck in the saw and broke when prying it out. So I made my own and it works much better than original: - bigger capacity so it is not full after just two cuts in thick wood - easier to empty thanks to the magnetic flap and slightly conical shape Required hardware: - 1x M3x40mm bolt - 1x M3 nut - 2x 20x6x2mm neodymium magnet How to print it: In your slicer insert a pause at appropriate height to insert the magnets. I printed it at 0.2mm layer height so the good spot was at the start of 2.8mm layer. Insert the both magnets in the same orientation (as in both North up or both South up). Then let the rest of the print finish. Post-processing: On the flap the magnet is coverd with very little plastic so it may end up messy and not flat. Smoothen it by cutting away protrusions with sharp knife or sand it or file it so the flap closes nicely flat against the body. Assemble with the one bolt, the nut may need some force to go into the hexagonal recess.
