BOSCH MKM 6003 Blade Hub
thingiverse
Hi! My grinder blade hub thread was pulled out as I ground sugar. I thought about how to fix it because the spare blade is really expensive (20 bucks) and the problem would be the same (weak hub thread). So, I came up with two versions of the hub. First Step: Take a thin knife and carefully peel out the old blade (wear thick gloves for safety). Start on the side where the "flaps" are pointing away and cut completely around until it falls apart. Then, carefully cut between the blade arm and the plastic and try to lift it off. When it's done, print one of the hubs you like. Second Step: Print the hub upside down (cross upwards). BOSCH_only_hole_no_thread.stl: This version has a 4.5mm hole for drilling a thread in it with a thread drill. Drill only 3-4 turns, then take an M5 screw to finish the job. It's possible that the hub can't be screwed completely into the machine, so fill it with hard stuff like rice or beans and power on so the motor thread drills in every time there's impact on the blade. Bosch_Thread_Nut_M5x8x7mm.stl: You'll need a M5x8x7 or a M5x7x7 thread nut here. Use a soldering iron on low temperature (around 180-200 C) and press the nut in carefully, as the plastic is thin and will heat up completely, getting soft. Last Step: Press the new blade onto the hub. That's it! You don't need to secure it if it feels tight; if not, try increasing the object size in Cura to 101% or so. Good luck and enjoy your coffee!
