Bosch GTS 635-216 Splitting Wedge Dummy
thingiverse
When needing to cut something without the original splitting wedge, a simple dummy can be used as a replacement. This is not recommended due to health and safety concerns, but sometimes it's necessary. Without a dummy or the original wedge, the clamping mechanism vibrates excessively. To facilitate easy exchange of the splitting wedge, an elongated hole has been cut along the center line of the original part all the way through its lower end. This allows for smooth sliding in and out without disassembling the entire clamping mechanism. The attached paint engineering sketch showcases this modification. A printed dummy was created using PLA with 15% rectilinear infill. Those requiring a print can send me a private message, and I'll be happy to assist.
