This base plate is designed specifically for brass guide bushings, requiring a mounting flange of 35mm in diameter. Although this custom plate offers tighter screw mounting hole tolerances than the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) plate, caution must be taken to prevent contact between the bushing and the router bit at any point during operation. Any friction or heat generated by such contact could compromise the integrity of the printed part. To minimize this risk, it is highly recommended that ABS filament be used for printing. While PLA filament can also be used, its lower melting temperature makes ABS a safer choice. This design was created using Onshape CAD software.
