Bosch Dust Collection Adapter

We've got a game-changer here, folks! I'm about to share something that's going to make your shop life easier, and you might just find yourself wondering how you ever managed without it. We're talking about a 12" Bosch gliding chop saw, specifically the GCM12SD model - check it out on their website if you want all the details. Now, when we hook this baby up to our trusty dust collector (aka shopvac), we use a Rigid brand car cleaning accessory hose kit. It's a great setup, but here's where things get interesting: the friction fit of the hose just wasn't holding up well in the saw. Bump it, and the whole thing would come loose. Enter our hero - an adapter that mounts to the hose using the posts on the dust port to keep everything securely attached. It's simplicity itself! This little number is a 3-part print job, with two halves clamping around the hose end and the third part screwing in to give you a nice solid latch on the hose. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this will work for every setup out there - but it certainly does for mine. And hey, if you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and try it with other vacuum hoses of similar size and saws...just don't come crying to me if it doesn't work out!
