My Bosch Compound Miter Saw truly excels, yet its dust collection system leaves room for improvement. The dust port falls short of reaching the material, resulting in reduced dust capture. To rectify this issue, I created an extender that attaches seamlessly to the dust port without impeding saw operation - assuming you're working with standard lumber sizes, that is. Installation was straightforward, involving a hot glue bond between the extender and the saw's dust port. Notably, this modification has yielded remarkable results: nearly all dust is now being caught by the dust port, as opposed to roughly half of it prior to the upgrade.
