bought a new Bosch 100 series dishwasher & it had this strange open square port on the side where the water pumps in. it makes absolutely no sense why it would be designed that way. i looked at another new one at the store & it was the same way. if the inward path of water were to be restricted in any way, the water could freely flow onto the floor, which would be INSIDE the cabinet, so i wouldn't see until there was a huge mess & water damage. bosch hasn't responded, so i just decided to take care of it myself. it snaps in pretty snug, but i'm going to use slicone anyway.
