Boscam rx-lcd5802 Sunshield
thingiverse
I just needed a sunshade that stretched further out than the standard extension of the 5802. However, I didn't like the provided fabric one. I browsed through Thingiverse and found several custom designs for other devices, but none of them met my specific requirements for the Boscam. This design is based on several others, primarily adapted from: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:774161. You insert it from the top, held in place by clips. The shield features holes for both antennae and four plugs. A split version is also available for users with smaller printing beds. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator Raft Option: Doesn't Matter Support: Yes Infill Percentage: 25% Additional Instructions: For the best results, print in PETG. Other filament types can work too, though. Ensure you use support for the holes as this will help with printing. I tried it without support using PLA but was unable to get all the holes to print properly without them. I printed the one seen in the image using PLA because I had black PLA at hand. Now, I have PETG in black but only need one. Be aware that I halted the print 20 minutes before completion, resulting in unfinished top layers; you can see the infill along the upper edge facing you.
