Borromini Star Christmas Tree Topper

This is a Christmas Tree topper inspired by some of the architectural details on Borromini's Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza church in Rome, Italy. I found the shape particularly captivating when we studied it and wanted to create a 3D model, so I thought this would be an excellent use for it. The design is divided into distinct components for effortless printing. A core piece is accompanied by a series of spikes. The core features pins that help locate the spikes, which come in various sizes to prevent mixing them up. A bit of extra clearance has been incorporated into the model to facilitate smoother assembly and adds some attractive shadow lines to the assembled piece.
