Got tired of the loose bolt on my printers causing problems with the Z-Axis home position, so built this more stable adjuster with an easy-to-use adjustment wheel. Used a sturdy M5 x 50 Pinnacle Brand hex bolt and nut from Bunnings for its shaft, paired with a matching washer to stiffen the adjustment wheel in the base. I carefully melted the nut into the shaft piece using a soldering iron set at 200°C. The switch leverages existing screws that hold it to the Z-Axis stepper mount, requiring extra cable to be pulled through from the control box - necessitating removal of the control board. The base component is designed with M4 mounting bolts and is intended for attachment to the 30x60 frame just under the Z-Axis assembly, triggering the switch on the plastic reinforcement used in the bolt hole. I plan to design a 20x20 version of the base piece for another printer project, so stay tuned if you're interested - it will utilize the same shaft piece and adjustment wheel.
