Boring Nozzle and Hose for PVC Pipe
thingiverse
I split the original Thing and edited to be glued onto a length of 3/4" pvc pipe for boring under a sidewalk or driveway. For those unfamiliar with this process, if you need to run something under a sidewalk or driveway, you just need a hose, nozzle set like this, a length of pipe, and a shovel. The pipe needs to be longer than what you are boring under by about a foot or so. You dig two holes, one on each side of the sidewalk. The one on the side where you are starting the pipe actually needs to be a trench at least as long as the pipe. You glue (with PVC glue) the nozzle fittings on each end of the pipe, hook up a water hose to the threaded end, and turn the water on. Water will shoot out the nozzle which you repeatedly thrust under the sidewalk until you eventually break out in the hole on the other side. Once all the water drains out of your trench (or before, if you're in a hurry) stick your PVC cutters or other cutting device in there and cut the two ends off the pipe. You then have a pipe you can run wires (like low-voltage landscape lighting, dog fence, etc) or irrigation tubing through the pipe, leaving it in place. You can also use the pipe in an underground sprinkler system by gluing fittings directly onto the ends you just cut. Printed in PETG, 40% infill, and 3-4 walls. Held up fine.
