Boreas - Mosquito/E3D V6 Hotend Mount for Tevo Tornado/CR10/Ender 3

<p>The Boreas has been designed to fit the Tevo Tornado and CR10 -X axis gantry plate. There has also been an update to allow the usage of this duct/mount with a linear rail setup.</p> <p>This hotend has been designed to work with a direct drive setup using the Bondtech BMG. It can use a mosquito hotend, or E3D V6.</p> <p>This design does require the usage of a pancake stepper motor and will not work with a full size stepper motor. Given the use of the BMG extruder, a larger stepper motor is not needed, and not recommended in the case of a direct drive setup.</p> <p>The ducting uses a standard 5015 blower fan, the duct can be adjusted vertically to accommodate any variation in hotend.</p> <p>Update 2/16/2019</p> <p>I have uploaded a new cooling fan duct for improved air flow and control. It is also slightly easier to print and has better tolerances.</p> <p>I have also added 2 more files to allow this mount to use linear rails for the x gantry. Specifically MGN12H mounting block.</p> <p>Printing Directions:</p> <p>All parts should be printed in the orientation they import with.</p> <p>The hotend plate needs a small amount of support in the cooling duct mounting channel.</p> <p>The cooler duct needs support, it is important to only use supports from the bed.</p> <p>BLTouch can be mounted and adjusted as well and is located at X:53.50, Y:10.35</p> <p>All mounting uses M3 screws.</p> <p>I have uploaded STL and 3MF formats, the files are identical, so you do not have to print both</p> <p>I have had plenty of success using standard PLA for my parts, the duct is designed to sit further up from the nozzle than most other ducts, so it does not get quite as hot as other ducts and should withstand normal PLA printing temps.
