The Tornado has been engineered to fit seamlessly onto the Tevo CR10 X-axis gantry plate. In addition, a crucial update has been made to enable the use of this duct/mount with a linear rail setup. This hotend has been carefully designed to work in conjunction with a direct drive setup utilizing the Bondtech BMG. It can also utilize an E3D V6 or Mosquito hotend. This design necessitates the use of a pancake stepper motor and will not function with a full-size stepper motor. Given the employment of the BMG extruder, a larger stepper motor is unnecessary and not recommended in the case of a direct drive setup. The ducting employs a standard 5015 blower fan; the duct can be adjusted vertically to accommodate any variation in hotend. Update 2/16/2019 I have uploaded a new cooling fan duct designed for improved airflow and control. It is also slightly easier to print and boasts better tolerances. I have also added two additional files to enable this mount to utilize linear rails for the X gantry, specifically MGN12 mounting blocks. Printing Directions: All parts should be printed in their default orientation as imported. The hotend plate requires a minimal amount of support within the cooling duct mounting channel. The cooler duct necessitates support; it is crucial to employ supports solely from the bed. BLTouch can be mounted and adjusted, located at X:53.50, Y:10.35 All mounting utilizes M3 screws. I have uploaded STL and 3MF formats, with identical files; therefore, you do not need to print both. I have experienced considerable success using standard PLA for my parts, as the duct is designed to sit further up from the nozzle than most other ducts, thereby preventing excessive heat buildup. However, if you plan to print higher-temperature materials, I recommend utilizing high-temperature rated materials. Note: This hotend mount has been engineered to work with the stock heatsink cooler for both the E3D V6 and Mosquito, 30mm and 25mm respectively.
