Bore Guide .223 Small Printer Optimized (Threaded)
thingiverse
This design is optimized for an Ender 3 or other small 3D printers. Max height of the print is 185mm tall. These are designed to screw together and only the female threaded side requires minimal supports. The solvent port has been remixed to be near the rear of the guide. Usually when you are using a bore guide to clean your AR-15, you are pushing and/or pulling from the rear and this gives you a very convenient place to add your solvent to the patch. Just print it off, break some supports and screw the halves together. I recommend applying grease to the threads although they fit perfectly; it barely needs it but it does help a bit. Threads and solvent port do not need supports at all. I printed both of these halves vertically. Print Parameters: Printer: Ender 3 Layer Height: 0.2mm Wall Thickness: 1.2mm Infill: Recommend 10-20% Material: PETG Amazon Basics Black Temps: 240C Nozzle @ 85C Bed Retraction Distance: 5mm with Z-hop Enabled Supports Enabled - Touching Buildplate Support Blocker added to the entire rear half of the bore guide Buildplate Adhesion method: Raft I hope you enjoy the remix. It fits me perfectly and I use it very often. Best part is that if either side breaks for any reason, you could always just print the other half if you needed.
