I'm diving headfirst into 3D modeling for the first time, and I've chosen to recreate a gun from Borderlands 3, one of my all-time favorite games. This model was created entirely in Fusion 360, which is still a foreign territory for me given my beginner status. As a result, it lacks some of the finer details and features that more experienced models typically boast. However, despite this, I'm pleased to report that it still comes together remarkably well. To bring this model to life, I started by joining the "half" pieces together using glue. Once they were securely attached, I moved on to painting the individual sections of the model. A base primer coat provided a solid foundation, after which I applied dark metallic spray paint to give it an authentic look. To add some extra flair and depth, I touched up certain areas with acrylic paint and then used a sharpie to replicate the distinctive "Borderlands" effect. Finally, multiple coats of matte clear coat helped seal everything in place and gave the model a smooth, professional finish.
