The ancient Bentheim sandstone border stone stands as a testament to 18th-century history, dating back to 1766. Originally marking the boundary between Gelre in the Netherlands and Munster in Germany, this historic landmark remains a tangible connection to the past. One side of the stone proudly displays the well-preserved coat of arms for Gelre, while its counterpart bears the fairly eroded emblem of Munster.
