Here's the thing. I really like Boots Industries PLA. It works great, but their spools are made of cardboard. That's great for the environment and cost-effective. However, sometimes the glue that holds the spools together fails. Then you're left with a nasty mess. So I created this solution to replace standard spool holders. I use the TUSH spool holder available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554. I didn't have any extra empty spools, so this was the fix I came up with. Threading works easily and is sized for a Boots cardboard spool. UPDATE June 29, 2017 I should have done this the first time. I made a version two that now has 32mm diameter holes that pass through the center. This makes it perfect to hang from a spool. If you need one and your spool is larger than 32mm, please send me a message and I will create something suitable for you.
