Booties for Vorpal Hexapod
thingiverse
I was concerned that the Vorpal Bot would slip excessively on my polished floors, so I created a few little booties out of TPE. As the bot is still under construction, all I can say at this point is that they fit snugly on the feet. Even if they don't help with slipping, they can be used to introduce some color variation after the legs are printed. The model was rotated so that the non-tapered side was used for the base of the print. My printer handled it with no supports at all. This is my first attempt at printing flex, and everything went smoothly except for the surface quality on top; I'm hoping my cooling fan will make a difference next time. When putting them on, be sure to orient the non-tapered side (the side from the print bed) towards the underside of the leg (towards the back of the "knee").
