Boosted Board Bumpers
thingiverse
This is a bumper designed specifically for a Boosted Board, which I have successfully printed and attached to my own Boosted Stealth model. The SCAD file included allows for easy modification and fine-tuning of the design to suit individual preferences. By scaling down slightly, it's possible to press-fit the bumper onto the nose or tail of a board; however, I personally prefer using a small amount of 3M VHB tape to secure it in place. To achieve better balance while standing up, I've configured the rear bumper to be wider than usual. Conversely, the front bumper is narrower due to my personal preference for aesthetics. Both bumpers are interchangeable, so feel free to use just one front bumper, two rear bumpers, or even modify the SCAD file to create your own unique design. These bumpers have proven to be incredibly effective in protecting the nose of my board from curb scrapes and allowing me to slide it smoothly on its tail while navigating subway stations. In fact, I've already worn through the outer layers on one tail, which has made the convenience of replacing it with ABS worth every 50 cents.
