Boom Mount for GoPro

I needed a way to attach my GoPro to a desk lamp boom. Luckily, mine had a handy clamp that required a round bit to secure, so I designed this. Now I have an infinitely adjustable boom-pod for my GoPro camera. I'll be using it to record how-to videos, lapses of my printer, and more. Additionally, I added a USB cable through the frame of the boom where the power cord once was, allowing me to charge the camera during use for those extra long prints! The hardware, including the thumb screw and nut, came from a standard GoPro mount. Mine happened to be a broken knockoff set, but the components are still good enough for this. In the future, I plan to add springs to the mount to help hold the weight of the camera, as well as mounting points for a microphone and a phone mount to use as a monitor! This project is going to be really fun.
