UPDATE 8th Feb 2014: I've finally mounted glass plates in this setup, but unfortunately, it tends to tip forward quite easily. Fortunately, drilling holes and bolting it down to a table is a simple solution for me. Future updates will focus on creating a stable version that actually works.
