Integrated into the library of the Group of Friends of Montemor-o-Novo stands this eighteenth-century book, printed in Coimbra, which houses the decrees of the Council of Trent convened by Pope Paul II between 1545 and 1563 - a direct response from the Catholic Church to Protestant Reformation. This particular version is an authentic original copy of the Asilo Montemorense of the Childhood Desvalida, established in the Convent of the Greeting until the sixties of the twentieth century.
