Boogie Board Holder

One of the products I like is the Boogieboard "Jot". They are reasonably inexpensive and I keep them where I want to jot down notes to myself or whatever.

They have a couple of magnets on the back that kind of holds them to metal surfaces (I find they start sliding down after a while). Given that failure mode I decided to make a holder that I could screw into wood surfaces (like a cabinet door) and hang the unit from its "pen slot" (which is the open space nominally on the bottom.

The result is this holder.

Its set up to take a couple of #6 sheet metal screws (which hold nicely in wood as well) and once installed you can hang the board on the holder. The notches in the extenders keep it on the holder even when the support moves. As I said earlier, I like to put them on cabinet doors and this keeps the board on the holder even when opening and closing the cabinet door.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK2S

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

Standard (typically .15mm on this printer)

Infill:

33%

Filament: Hatchbox PLA Grey

Notes:

This isn't too difficult a print. The notches represent an overhang which can be tricky if you have stringy filament. I found it no problem on my printer.

Post-Printing =============
Cleanup post printing

I found a couple of stringers that went between the notch which I cleared out with an exacto knife.

Category: Tool Holders & Boxes
