Boo's Adjustable Mini Kossel Hotbed and Glass Bed Clamp V2
thingiverse
26/12/2014: Made some adjustments to height, and upped the tolerance so it's not too tight. Here's a two-part clamp designed for attaching a hot-bed and glass bed assembly to a Mini Kossel. The lower part lifts the hotbed above the aluminium frame ensuring the thermistor terminals don't short circuit. This section features an embedded groove that accommodates a few wires and solder allowing trouble-free thermistor connections. The upper part is a sliding clamp that presses firmly against the 170 mm glass bed securing it in place. Its design enables full access to the printing surface as the glass plate is held firmly by lateral pressure from the sides and downward force exerted by the top clamp driven down by the screws. Tight fitting parts might necessitate tolerance adjustments; thus, if difficulties arise, I'll fine-tune the settings. The hotbed itself was acquired from AliExpress for about $20. Instructions You will require two M3x10 screws per clamp; M3x12 worked just as well with a slight snip at the tip. First, insert the screws through both components and then fasten onto the 1515 tube without tightening yet. Place one part over the hotbed's edges ensuring it slots in perfectly between both sections. Proceed to tighten while verifying that the glass stays centered, pushing down on it firmly by hand. Once complete, you should observe a sturdy, rock-solid setup with the glass snugly locked into position against the hotbed.
