Bontrager Transmitr remote mount for road handlebars
thingiverse
I recently posted my Transmitr remote mount for MTB handlebars, but realized I didn't have a version suitable for road handlebars with the common 31.8mm dimension. Like the MTB mount, this one needs only the Transmitr mount and two M3 screws that come with it - one 6mm and one 12mm. Similar to the MTB version, the 6mm holds the Transmitr to the mount while the longer one clamps it down to the bars and secures the Transmitr in place. The difference is the shorter screw now inserts from inside the clamp, so you must install it first - otherwise, you won't be able to reach it once the mount is on the bars. If you're unsure what the Transmitr remote is all about, it's a remote that pairs with Bontrager's excellent Transmitr lights. This allows you to control the lights from one location, which can pair with up to 7 lights and control high beams/low beams as well as act as turn signals when paired with the right taillights. It's a slick system I find indispensable for quickly and easily adjusting light intensity while doing night MTB rides. Simply drop the brightness down to preserve battery life while going slower or riding between trails, then increase the brightness as your speed increases. For more information on Bontrager lights, check out their page at Trekbikes.com. You seem to do a lot of Trek/Bontrager-related stuff - do you work for Trek? Yes, I work part-time in a Trek-owned bike shop.
