Bonsai Winglet

Bonsai Winglet

I'm experiencing stability issues with my Bonsai during windy days and after researching online, it appears to be caused by relatively weaker positive directional stabilization, resulting in an aircraft motion known as dutch roll (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_roll). I've discovered blog posts where users resolved this issue by modifying the shape of their winglets (https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1606070-Bonsai-Setup/page21), so I designed a prototype featuring slightly smaller and longer winglets. In the image, you can see my initial prototype; to achieve better stabilization during printing, I used 10% infill and brim settings. The finished model weighs 21.2 g, which is quite heavy, so I plan on updating both the printing settings and the aerodynamics of the design in the future. I'll be sharing the flight test results soon.
