Bonnet Guard Brackets
thingiverse
Human: Bonnet Protector Guards come equipped with metal clips that clip onto the front part of your bonnet. Over time, these metal clips are likely to rust out, causing unsightly rust marks on your bonnet or worst-case scenario, any movement will scratch your paint - like the cheap metal clips that came with my bonnet guard purchase. The picture of the side bracket shows some of the scratches and rust caused by metal brackets. These plastic bonnet protector mounting brackets should greatly minimize this problem. A photo is added showing the front clip - metal vs plastic replacement as a comparison. I've found that the plastic clips offer a stronger and firmer fit, while doing far less damage to your paintwork than metal clips. The plastic washers that fit on metal clips (if supplied) are not required. These bonnet guards are designed for Ford Rangers but may fit other makes and models. I needed three front brackets and two side brackets for my vehicle. Use the fixings (screws) provided with the bonnet protector, although type and size may vary depending on the brand, so print one out first to check fitment. Five M5 x 10mm stainless round head bolts are required. If you need adjustments for your vehicle, post a comment and I'll see what I can do. EDIT: June 18, 2020 - Added dome body and cover for screws to sit in. EDIT: August 10, 2020 - Updated side mounts for strength and with better clips. If you like this, click Like!
