Bone Wedge. XCB-001-21 XCB-001, or IZM-001, stands out as one of three sites meticulously examined by A.P. McCartney in 1971, and has since become the definitive type-site for the Cape Glazenap Phase. It is a vast village comprising nucleus-satellite corporate households dated approximately 1000-1200 CE. Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts emerge from the research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner takes on the role of Principal Investigator. These artifacts were meticulously scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processed in Geomagic or Polyworks, the 2-8 photos used for texture in Geomagic Wrap add depth to the final product. The original digitizing work was done at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage. 1. McCartney, A.P. 1974 Prehistoric Cultural Integration along the Alaska Peninsula showcases impressive discoveries. APUA 16(1):59-84 highlights key findings. 2. Maschner's groundbreaking work is featured in Arctic Anthro., with a DOI of 10.1353/arc.2011.0007, published January 1, 2004, vol. 41 no. 2, page 98-111.
